This is a rare old spool of yellowish gold metal tinsel thread from the early century.
Made in France by Vernie.
I traced the manufacturer to being in business from 1894 through 1930.
I unwound one spool and counted the length. Each spool has approximately 350 yards. Spool height is 1.25" or 30mm
Perfect for fly tying or can be used for embroidery or needlework.
